It’s not every day you meet a producer as serious about your music as you are, let alone someone who can bring your vision to a life greater than you anticipated. Bryan Ray has been making music since he was 6 years old, banging away on pianos until he became obsessed with jazz and took up the saxophone at 10. Guitar followed and songwriting came soon after. In college, crafting an EP of his own, he discovered production and engineering.
After a move to Austin in 2009, Bryan began honing his studio chops at a songwriting/production studio on Lake Travis, eventually placing the country/rap co-write “Two Step” with Laura Bell Bundy for Big Machine Records (Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw). Producing, mixing, and writing with numerous local artists followed. He started the solo project Lonely Child in late 2011 and has since gone on to produce and mix records by Austin standouts Hello Caller and Mobley, the debut LP for award-winning Dallas songwriter Eddie Lott, and Alaskan singer-songwriter Marian Call’s Standing Stones LP. Bryan was named Austin’s No. 2 best producer in the 2017 Austin Music Awards.
